About Us
We are a local company which was established in 1990 by Chris Wickham. The company started with just one car and has progressed over the years to a fleet of 12 vehicles.
As well as operating a general taxi service, CJW Taxis also specialises in providing dedicated vehicles adapted for customers with special needs and can accomodate up to four wheelchairs.
All our drivers are fully licensed by Mendip District Council, trained in wheelchair handling, passenger care, emergency aid and are enhanced CRB checked. Enhanced checks are for posts involving work in a regulated activity for a regulated activity provider with children or vulnerable adults.
We are accredited to Millfield School, Somerset County Council and Social Services.
